20-Year
Center II - Direct Support for Disabled Children
Center II is a non-profit organization established in 2005 to provide critical surgical care and medical training to children with disabilities in underserved regions of North and Central Vietnam. We collaborate with local hospitals, government agencies and medical professionals to deliver comprehensive surgical interventions and build sustainable healthcare capacity in the areas we serve.
Our mission is to eliminate the surgical backlog for children with disabilities, particularly those in rural and impoverished communities. By addressing congenital disabilities and conditions resulting from accidents or inadequate living standards, we strive to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Since our inception, Center II has successfully treated over 9,200 children. We remain committed to our vision of a future where all children with disabilities in Vietnam have access to the necessary care and support.

Healthcare:
-
Successfully trained a team of burn reconstructive surgeons, enhancing the capacity to treat children with burn sequelae.
-
Implemented a surgical program at provincial general hospitals, providing thousands of children with access to high-quality surgical services locally.
-
Successfully implemented a program to eliminate Deltoid muscle contracture in Nghe An province, bringing a better life to hundreds of children.
Special Education:
-
Maintained a special education program in Lai Chau, creating learning and development opportunities for disabled children.
Center II is constantly striving to improve service quality, expand its scope of activities, and find effective solutions to current challenges. We believe that with the cooperation of organizations and individuals, as well as the support of the community, Center II will continue to make positive contributions to the care and support of disabled children in Vietnam.
