The progress report for our project in Ha Giang province from March to June 2024 has been compiled.

From 25 to 31 March 2024, the screening days were conducted, where a comprehensive screening was carried out for 245 children hailing from different districts in Ha Giang province. Center II places great emphasis on education, and this was evident as our doctors and staff trained a total of 206 nurses from communes, health workers, and provincial doctors during the screening process. This training aimed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to proficiently implement our screening methods.

After a span of three months, the awaited moment arrived. Between June 24 and June 30, 2024, our group, comprised of 22 individuals, journeyed to Ha Giang province. The medical team had little time for leisure, as consultations commenced promptly in the afternoon, with previously screened children being reevaluated and final decisions on surgical procedures being made in the presence of their parents. Over the course of the following week, a structured routine unfolded: conducting surgeries and visiting wards where post-operative children were recuperating. A total of 109 children underwent surgeries free of charge during this period.
