The results of our project in Ha Tinh province from April 12th to 19th, 2024

Through the collaboration between Ha Tinh provincial "TTH" hospital and Center II, with the generous support of Catholic churches in Ha Tinh province, screening days were successfully held from April 12th to 14th, 2024. During this period, a total of 209 children from diverse districts across Ha Tinh province were screened, representing a significant step forward in pediatric healthcare in the region. A cornerstone of Center II's mission is education and capacity building, demonstrated by the comprehensive training provided to 200 nuns from local Catholic churches, as well as commune nurses, health workers, and provincial doctors. This training equipped them with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct preliminary screenings using Center II's standardized methods, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach to identifying potential health concerns in children.

Following the initial screenings, a team of seven doctors from our Hanoi headquarters arrived in Ha Tinh province on April 15th, 2024. In collaboration with the Ha Tinh Provincial "TTH" Hospital and local healthcare professionals, they promptly began consultations and determined the need for surgical intervention for 51 children. Over the subsequent five days, these life-changing surgeries were successfully performed at the Ha Tinh Provincial "TTH" Hospital.  The attached photographs document the remarkable teamwork and dedication that made this achievement possible.
